Live the experience of a stay in a place in the middle of the jungle. Casa Moena is the perfect compromise between living in nature without giving up the comforts of the city. Casa Moena is located in the village of San Roque de Cumbaza, 40 minutes from Tarapoto, in the San Martín region.

To get there you have to walk 7 minutes into the jungle from the main road and with its private access to the river the impression you have is of being completely immersed in the jungle. That is why Casa Moena is the perfect place to rest, relax, meditate or find inspiration. The house has a bathroom with hot water, kitchen with stove and refrigerator, bedroom, internet, private access to the Cumbaza River.

Our Programs from Casa Moena: Include 2 nights in Casa Moena and 1 experience

Good option to get to know the deep jungle and rest comfortably.

1) Huacamaillo Waterfall: We will visit the Huacamaillo waterfall located in the neighboring town of San Antonio de Cumbaza, 15 min by car. We will walk approximately 2 hours crossing the Cumbaza River 4 times until we reach this magical natural paradise.

2) Hiking in nature : 1 hour walking to the crystal clear waters of Añakiwi, entering the Cordillera Escalera conservation area. Viewpoints: Walk of 1 hour and a half going up to the viewpoints, from where we can appreciate incredible views of the Cordillera Escalera conservation area. And visit House of Producers: We will visit enterprising peasant families who produce natural products in an artisanal way. We will know the different processes of elaboration of the different products (cocoa, coffee, sacha inchi, peanut butter, depending on the season)

 3) Cultural Experience: Pottery crafts in a native community: we will carry out a traditional Quechua Lamista pottery course. We will visit a native woman with a 40 min walk, and here we will learn how to make basic forms of ceramics according to the ancestral tradition.And House of Producers: We will visit enterprising peasant families who produce natural products in an artisanal way. We will know the different processes of elaboration of the different products (cocoa, coffee, sacha inchi, peanut butter, depending on the season)
